GRAVID
GRAVID is out!
This book began as an invitation to join a NaNoWriMo group in a coffee shop. One by one the others dropped out and I was still chugging away. Three years later, the rough draft was finally done. I used to stop at a pie shop on Myrtle ave to cram in an extra writing session after work just to get through it. The manuscript was too sad to ever sell and I hated editing so it sat. Finally, during covid, I had nothing but time. I edited the whole monster live at four in the morning for a hundred days on twitch.tv. I found a new editing method I now use for everything, and really hit my stride. I’d say the quality of my work is at least 30% better since.
Now, it’s time to release GRAVID. This is a story about the intersection of grief and telepathy, inspired by Robert Silverberg’s Dying Inside.
I took a road trip through Maine to visit a few of the spots that inspired the book and and visited little libraries all over with young Hugo. Enjoy!
